Shiny New FOUND Website!
August 2nd, 2006As you probably noticed, FOUND premiered a new look for the website last week. We wanted to make the website more fun for you guys to navigate, so we added new features and made existing features easier to use. Some stuff to play around with:
Find of the Day Zoomable Images ![]()
Those juicy diary entries and cocktail napkin notes aren’t that awesome if you CAN’T FRIGGIN’ READ THEM!! So, for those tougher-to-read Finds of the Day, we’ve included a zoom option - it looks like a wee magnifying glass. So, just click on the magnifying and let the image z-z-zoom.
Find of the Day Email Option
Wanna share a favorite Find of the Day with a friend? It’s now as simple as clicking the email icon directly above the find and filling out the necessary info. Send those finds far and wide!
E-Z Scroll Bar
Did you miss yesterday’s Find of the Day? All you gotta do is click the red arrow directly below the find and we’ll magically transport you to yesterday’s find. Did you miss the Find of the Day from a week ago? Just keep clicking the arrow - it’s a day-per-click.
Smart Search Box
Need a Find of the Day as a quick Mother’s Day present? Just type “mom” into the search box and see what comes up. Are you a finder who forgot which date your find was a Find of the Day? Just type in your name, and your find should pop right up.
Random Find Generator
Every time you look at a new find, there will be four random finds at the bottom of the page for you to check out.
FOUND’s co-creator, Jason Bitner, along with James Molenda and Mike Helferstay headed up the project and huge thanks go out to web wizards Brad Pauly and Arthur Jones for their finger-breaking, eye-straining coding and designing. We’d love to hear your comments/suggestions - send them to info@foundmagazine.com.
Enjoy!
what about an rss feed?

Hey Kayla,
I think that was a momentary problem caused by the overhaul. Everything should be working perfectly now!
